Welcome! I’m Susan Krystaf, founder and creator of the Home Sweet Home – Help for the First-time Homebuyer e-book and website that you’re visiting right now.
I was born and raised in a small suburban town in Upstate New York where I enjoyed some wonderful years with my parents in their small cape cod style home. My High School dream was to become an architect however I landed a job at a local bank where, after a 30-year career, I found myself looking to purchase my very OWN first home! While searching for the "Home Sweet Home" of my dreams, I learned that I knew very little about the structure, the mechanicals within the house and exactly what to look for-- be it good or not so good!
This website, e-Book and Mobile App are the result of my learning experience as a first-time homebuyer. It is my greatest hope that the information I have gathered in these "tools" will give you the knowledge to make your home buying experience a rewarding endeavor.
